Ambulance services provide medically necessary treatment for Medicaid recipients.

  • Ambulance providers must be licensed by the state
  • Services include emergency and non-emergency ambulance transport by ground and air
  • Patients must be transported in a vehicle that has been inspected and issued a permit by the state
  • Transport is provided only if other means of transportation cannot support the patient’s medical state
